Introducing RMD's
Cavapoo
F1 Mini, Medium & Large Size
Why the Cavapoo you ask?
Well, first of all...is it Cavapoo, Cavadoodle, Cavoodle...we say Cavapoo but it's all the same in the end...a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel crossed with a Poodle! So, back to the question of WHY the Cavapoo? It all goes back many years and a conversation I had with Dr. Barkasy at Newton Animal Hospital. I was in health testing one of my dogs and we were having another one of our fascinating conversations about dog breeding and the likes. He was chatting about the amazing dogs I have in my program and said how much he adores the Golden Retriever and said "in my mind the two happiest dog breeds out there are the Golden Retriever & the King Charles Cavalier". It stuck with me...for a very LONG time and I still reflect on that. I want happy, loving, sweet puppies in my program and I knew one day I would be breeding the Cavapoo, so here we are!
What size are your F1 Cavapoos?
We are only breeding F1 Cavapoos at this time and expect them to be in the range of 15-20 lbs, 20-25lbs, 25-30lbs & 30-35lbs range as well.

What is the difference between an F1 & an F1b?F1's here at Red Maple Doodles are a result of a purebred Golden Retriever mom and a smaller Poodle dad. Because our stud boys are small we tend to get puppies that are in the 25-45 pound range but can vary depending on which mom we use and which genetics it picks up on. The coat type of our F1's is that adorable teddy bear, just got out of bed, looking fur. The coat type and personalities within an F1 litter tend to be rather consistent and typically take after the Golden Retriever. f1b's here at Red Maple Doodles are a result of an F1 Goldendoodle mom and a different smaller Poodle dad. f1b puppies tend to be in the 15-50 pound range but can vary depending on which mom and the genetics the puppy picks up on. Some of our f1b puppies can be up to 40 pounds and as small as 15 in the exact same litter. Most of our f1b's are darker red, curly to a loose curly coat and smaller than in F1 because it has been bred down in size twice. Please visit our Coat Type tab page for more info and examples of different looks & coat types.

How do I get on the General Wait List?Once you have had an in depth read through our website then the next step is to fill out an application. Due to the overwhelming volume of applications our response time has been extended. We anticipate getting in touch to set up an extensive phone interview within a week of your application, to get to know you, learn more about your family, previous dog experience and living situation. If we determine we are a good fit for one another then you will be invited to place a non-refundable puppy deposit and you will be put on the General Wait List, which means you will now be waiting for your puppy. When a litter is born we will then take names from those families on our General Wait List, so you will then be securing a spot for that specific litter. Once your puppy has been picked at 7 weeks of age your balance is due. Please ensure that you are ready for a puppy prior to placing a puppy deposit as it is valid for 18 months. We are very pleased to work with our families if you are wanting to extend your wait time to a maximum of 24 months but this must be agreed to by both the breeder and the family, prior to the 18 month cut off. We strive to have a current wait list with active families that are excited and engaged, in order to give new families a better idea of how long it will be before they get a puppy.
